Population Community profile
As at 30 June 2006, the population for Gold Coast City was estimated to be 507,439 persons, being the second largest Local Government Area (LGA) in Australia in terms of numbers. The population is expected to increase to 683,568 residents in the year 2021
The Gold Coast boasts a climate which invites open-air activities including al fresco dining there are more than 500 restaurants; golf more than 40 resort, public and private courses; sports world-class facilities and an exciting event calendar of culture, sport, racing, music and fine food.
